Hi, hello!

Nina Schumann is an award-winning, Chicago-based communications strategist designing earned-first campaigns for some of today’s most culturally influential brands. At Zeno Group — the global integrated communications agency born from PR — she architects media strategies that build relevance, safeguard reputation and deliver measurable impact across food & beverage and financial services.

Nina has partnered with some of today’s most recognizable consumer brands and category leaders, including The Coca-Cola Company, Topo Chico, Chick-fil-A, Robinhood, Ally Bank and Simply Beverages. She advises high-profile companies through both growth initiatives and reputational complexity — translating consumer insight and cultural tension into strategic storytelling that strengthens trust and long-term brand equity.

Beyond client work, Nina oversees Zeno Chicago’s decades-long pro bono communications partnership with Breakthrough T1D Illinois, the Midwest chapter of the leading type 1 diabetes nonprofit, guiding media strategy and stakeholder engagement to elevate chapter visibility and support record-setting fundraising initiatives. She also serves on Zeno Chicago’s Culture Crew as Event Planning Lead, shaping programming that deepens employee connection and fosters a vibrant, inclusive office culture.

Known for her strategic acuity, sharp media instincts, trend fluency and composure under pressure, Nina operates at the intersection of earned media, culture and leadership — whether inserting brands into the zeitgeist, building disruptive campaigns or stewarding organizations through complex, high-stakes moments.

Nina graduated magna cum laude from Miami University with a double major in Strategic Communication and Emerging Technology in Business & Design, along with a minor in Digital Marketing — a foundation that continues to inform her integrated, digitally fluent and insight-driven approach to brand strategy and communications.
